Job summary

Sundt Enterprise is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to serve as the technical information source on our project, with thorough knowledge of construction documents, subcontracts and purchase orders. You will respond to questions about drawings, specs, shop drawings, and change orders while maintaining productive relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers.

The Senior step applies to those with over 6 years of experience and larger, more complex projects.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of construction engineering practices and codes.
• Four-year construction-related degree required with 3–4 years of field/engineering experience.
• Excellent communication and ability to manage a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Understand PMP components and project management plans to drive execution.
• Develop procurement schedules and coordinate submittals with trades.
• Administer budgets, track costs and maintain contract documents.
• Prepare change orders, logs and cost-control budgets.
• Prepare As-built docs, close-out manuals and warranties.
• Supervise and train Field Engineer positions when required.
• Maintain effective relationships with owners, architects, and subcontractors.
• Contribute to risk management, claims prevention and timely resolutions.
