Job summary
AES Corporation seeks a Senior Project Engineer to design and engineer utility-scale solar PV and energy storage projects across development and construction stages. You will lead engineering activities, perform energy modeling, equipment selection, and prepare procurement specs while supporting EPC pricing and due diligence for M&A opportunities.
The role requires a strong background in PV and BESS design, leadership, and collaboration with distributed teams.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering or equivalent technical field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in solar PV system design, development, construction, and analysis preferred.
- Proficient with PV system design concepts, NEC, and high/low voltage design guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Perform technical due diligence and risk assessment for M&A projects.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to develop design evaluations and cost estimates.
- Lead design reviews, specifications, and procurement support for multi-site projects.
- Mentor engineers, manage consultants, and drive process improvements across the portfolio.
