Job summary

The AES Corporation seeks a Senior Project Engineer on the Mega and M&A Engineering team to lead engineering design for utility-scale solar PV and energy storage projects through development and construction. You will guide engineering activities, perform modeling, and coordinate with EPCs and internal stakeholders to ensure safe, high-quality project delivery.

Ideal candidates boast 5+ years in solar PV design and project execution, strong leadership, and proficiency with PV design standards,

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in Engineering or equivalent technical field.
5+ years of professional experience in solar PV system design, development, construction, and analysis preferred.
Proficiency in PV system design, including diagrams, NEC, and protection sizing.
Experience with medium voltage collector system design.
Effective leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Lead and support engineering activities across the full project lifecycle.
Provide technical inputs for EPC pricing estimates, RFP responses, and permitting.
Mentor junior engineers and establish design standards.
Coordinate with EPC contractors to develop project construction drawings and materials.
Support commissioning and project operations with technical expertise.
Develop and implement technical solutions for region-specific requirements.
