Job summary

Coghlin Companies seeks an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex product development programs in the United States. You will guide multi-disciplinary teams, manage customer interfaces, and ensure technical deliverables meet contract standards and corporate processes.

You will define requirements, manage risks, create schedules and WBS, and coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality functions.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of product development experience leading complex projects.
• Strong systems engineering background.
• Project management by influence.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, software).
• Knowledge of development processes, design controls, risk management, verification and change control.
• Experience with ERP and PDM systems (Kinetic/Epicor and SolidWorks PDM).
• Experience managing time-and-materials projects and executing SOWs.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and PM tools.
• Excellent written, verbal, and executive communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams aligned with core values and mission.
• Serve as the primary technical interface to the customer and maintain key stakeholder relationships.
• Author and oversee FRDs, specifications, and design documents.
• Ensure customer, regulatory, and system requirements are defined, maintained, and traceable.
• Identify and manage technical risks with mitigation plans.
• Evaluate feasibility of designs per design review processes and standards.
• Drive DFX initiatives balancing performance, cost, quality, manufacturability.
• Review and approve technical solutions; escalate as needed.
• Develop WBS, schedules, resource requirements, and effort estimates.
• Ensure execution aligns with SOWs and approved plans.
• Identify scope changes and coordinate with the Program Manager for negotiations.
• Provide technical leadership to multidisciplinary teams.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and PM.
• Maintain project documentation and time reporting.
