Coghlin Companies is seeking a senior engineering leader to drive multi-disciplinary projects from concept to commercialization in Massachusetts. You will serve as the main technical interface to customers, author key documents, and ensure requirements are traceable throughout design and verification.

The role emphasizes strong systems engineering, risk management, and collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and program management to meet contractual objectives.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 10+ years in product development leading complex projects.
• Strong systems engineering background and design controls.
• Experience with ERP and PDM systems (Kinetic, SolidWorks PDM a plus).
• Experience managing projects in time-and-materials environments and executing SOWs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional project teams to meet objectives.
• Serve as primary technical interface to customer and build relationships with stakeholders.
• Author and oversee FRDs, specifications, and design documentation.
• Ensure requirements are defined, maintained, and traceable throughout design and verification.
• Identify, assess, and manage technical risks with mitigation plans.
• Drive DFX initiatives balancing performance, cost, quality, manufacturability.
• Review and approve technical solutions; escalate when needed.
• Develop WBS, schedules, resource requirements, and effort estimates.
• Coordinate with Program Managers to meet objectives.
