Job summary

Kingfisher Recruiting is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support a major transportation and mass transit project in Los Angeles. You will work with Project Manager, Superintendent, and leadership to manage controls, costs, documentation, and closeout.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience on large-scale infrastructure projects, knowledge of contracts, and strong communication skills to coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, and field personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of construction industry experience.
• Experience on large, complex construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, plans, specifications, and project documentation.
• Experience with project cost tracking, change management, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret drawings, specifications, contracts, subcontracts, and project requirements.
• Track and process Change Proposal Requests, Change Orders, Potential Change Orders, Owner Payment Applications, and Claims & Supporting Documentation.
• Assist with identifying changes in project scope and developing documentation for additional compensation or schedule impacts.
• Monitor project costs and maintain accurate cost and production reports.
• Assist project leadership with cost forecasting and financial reporting.
