Job summary

Talent With Heart is seeking a Senior Project Engineer in Los Angeles to support the delivery of a major transportation infrastructure project. You will work with the Project Manager, Superintendent, and leadership team, managing project controls, cost tracking, change management, and documentation.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in heavy civil or transportation projects and strong knowledge of contracts, plans, and project documentation, including electrical infrastructure scopes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of construction industry experience.
• Experience with large, complex infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, plans, specifications, and project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager and Superintendent in the execution of large-scale transportation and infrastructure projects.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, subcontracts, and project requirements.
• Track, prepare, review, and process: Change Proposal Requests, Change Orders, Potential Change Orders, Owner Payment Applications, Claims & Supporting Documentation.
• Assist with identifying changes in project scope and developing supporting documentation for additional compensation and/or schedule impacts.
• Monitor project costs and maintain accurate cost and production reports.
• Assist project leadership with cost forecasting and financial reporting.
• Coordinate with field operations to verify installed quantities and completed work.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, drawing revisions, and other technical documentation as required.
