Job summary

Talent Solutions Partners in Los Angeles, CA, seeks a Senior Project Engineer to support a major transportation infrastructure program. You will collaborate with the Project Manager, Superintendent, and leadership to manage costs, change processes, contracts, and project documentation.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in large-scale infrastructure, with strong knowledge of plans, specs, contracts, and cost reporting, and experience with field operations and scheduling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of construction industry experience.
• Experience on large, complex infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of contracts, plans, specifications, and project documentation.
• Experience with cost tracking, change management, and financial reporting.
• Ability to analyze labor costs, quantities, production, and performance.
• Strong project controls and contract administration.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with detailed documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Collaborates with PMs, Superintendents, engineers, subcontractors, owners, field personnel.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager and Superintendent in the execution of large-scale transportation and infrastructure projects.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, subcontracts, and project requirements.
• Track, prepare, review, and process: Change Proposal Requests, Change Orders, Potential Change Orders, Owner Payment Applications, and Claims Documentation.
• Assist with identifying changes in project scope and developing supporting documentation for additional compensation and/or schedule impacts.
• Monitor project costs and maintain accurate cost and production reports.
• Assist project leadership with cost forecasting and financial reporting.
• Analyze labor costs, quantities, production, and project performance.
• Prepare and maintain quantity tracking and production reports.
• Coordinate with field operations to verify installed quantities and completed work.
• Assist with procurement, subcontractor coordination, material tracking, and project documentation.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, drawing revisions, and other technical documentation.
• Research technical and quality control issues and coordinate solutions with project leadership.
• Verify completed construction complies with plans, specifications, codes, standards, and contract requirements.
