Job summary

KingRecruitingServices in Tampa, FL is seeking a Project Engineer to lead engineering and project controls on heavy civil highway and bridge projects. You will own scheduling, cost forecasting, and field coordination for FDOT programs, with relocation options for qualified candidates.

This role blends office and field responsibilities in a growing Florida contractor. Ideal candidates have 5–8 years in civil construction, strong Primavera P6 skills, and solid communication abilities.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in civil construction (office and field).
• Proficiency with Primavera P6, Excel and Word.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review the contract and specifications in their entirety.
• Support the Project Manager and Project Superintendent on day-to-day needs.
• Prepare and update the project schedule in Primavera P6.
• Track quantities, project costs and forecasting.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and crews to resolve field conflicts.
• Support monthly billing, cash flow projections and change order processing.
• Run document control for submittals, contract documents and record drawings.
• Review HeavyJob daily reports for accuracy.
