Job summary

Lighthouse Electric seeks a Project Executive to lead executive oversight of large-scale electrical construction projects. You will direct cross-functional teams, ensure safety, contract compliance, and client satisfaction across a diverse portfolio.

The role emphasizes strategic leadership, budgeting, and coordination with estimating, project controls, and field operations to deliver megaprojects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership in electrical construction.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or 10 years of related field experience.
• Data Center, Healthcare, Mission Critical, Sports & Entertainment, and Light Industrial experience.
• Experience managing projects/portfolios in excess of $100 million.
• Ability to travel to various job sites, client headquarters, etc. approximately 4 nights per month.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., AccuBid Anywhere, Bamboo, Bluebeam, Foundation, Microsoft Office Suite, Navisworks, PlanGrid, Procore, Primavera, QuickBase, Remarkable, SharePoint, Workday, or similar systems).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Provide executive oversight of construction operations on multiple large-scale electrical construction projects, ensuring alignment with goals, safety, quality, contractual terms, and client interests.
• Manage a portfolio of high-value projects, typically exceeding $50 million annually, across market sectors.
• Serve as contract administrator, ensuring team alignment and contract compliance to mitigate risks.
• Champion proactive safety culture with enterprise safety team and OSHA compliance strategies.
• Establish safety leadership initiatives and engage with field leadership for safety improvement.
• Lead and support cross-functional teams to ensure consistent project delivery.
• Coordinate with internal departments to support project needs.
• Recruit, hire, mentor, and develop top project management and field leaders.
• Maintain strong client relationships as executive contact throughout lifecycles.
• Coordinate with project controls to produce budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
• Lead monthly financial reviews and implement risk management strategies.
• Ensure scheduling, resource allocation, and milestone tracking meet goals.
• Collaborate with estimating for competitive bids and change orders.
• Participate in delivery-method and subcontractor selections for optimal outcomes.
• Facilitate regular project review meetings on financials, schedule, risk, and staffing.
• Drive continuous improvement and best practices across PM lifecycle.
• Represent the company in high-level meetings on progress, disputes, and closeout.
• Promote modern construction technologies (3D modeling, digital workflows, cloud tools).
• Document all activities: change orders, RFIs, submittals, procurement, logbooks.
• Report portfolio status and risks to executive leadership.
