Job summary

HDR seeks a Senior Project Controls Business Class Lead in the Water group to establish and advance project control practices on programs spanning wastewater, dams, and drinking water. You will mentor staff, develop control plans, and coordinate with program managers and clients to deliver on scope, schedule, and budget.

Ideal candidates have 15+ years of project controls leadership, PMP/PE or equivalent, and strong PMIS experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; minimum 10 years in project controls on engineering/construction projects.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills with client-facing experience.
• Experience with PMIS solutions and multiple delivery methods (DBB, DB, IPD, CMAR).
• Proficiency in scheduling/cost control, risk management, and Progress reporting.
• Ability to coordinate teams across locations and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Lead project controls across programs to manage scope, budget, and schedule.
• Direct project controls and document controls teams on large water projects.
• Collaborate with program managers and clients to tailor control plans.
• Recommend PMIS solutions and integrate schedules with engineering timelines.
• Present comprehensive performance summaries to HDR and clients.
