Job summary

Qualus is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to join the Program Management team. The role emphasizes scheduling integration across the System Protection department and collaboration with project team members and other departments to keep work plans aligned with budgets and timelines.

The ideal candidate brings 15+ years of project controls experience, strong communication, and the ability to influence without authority.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in project controls including scheduling, cost control, and risk/compliance.
• Major capital project experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field; in-person hybrid role in Woodlands, TX or New Orleans, LA.

Responsibilities

• Perform project support and work planning scheduling services for the System and Protection Department.
• Develop reports communicating the work plan near, mid, and long-term to internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain department’s work plan and integrate inputs from other departments and data sources.
• Monitor budgets, manage change control, run earned value analysis (EVA), and project cash flow.
• Track regulatory frameworks and evaluate environmental or supply chain risks to avoid delays.
• Gather inputs, update the work plan, and ensure reviews/approvals are captured.
• Communicate department status to project managers, stakeholders, and management.
