Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support services projects across the U.S. The role involves developing cost and schedule baselines, analyzing monthly data, and ensuring accurate forecasts and internal compliance.

You will collaborate with project teams and management to drive on‑time, on‑budget delivery. The successful candidate will have 5+ years of related experience, a Bachelor’s Degree, and strong knowledge of EVM, scheduling, and cost control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 5 years of related experience required.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Develops time‑phased project cost and resource forecasts; validates project costs; updates requirements as required.
• Monitors progress of project deliverables and actual expenditures versus forecasts.
• Performs performance reporting for a portfolio of projects using Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Generates and analyzes earned value reports and discusses observations with the project manager.
• Provides technical guidance and training to junior staff and may supervise junior engineers.
