Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support services projects across multiple U.S. locations. You will develop complex schedule and cost baselines, analyze monthly data, manage risk reserves, and prepare standardized stakeholder reports.

The role requires strong EVM skills and collaboration across project teams. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with internal procedures and federal regulations, manage resources and costs, and provide guidance to junior staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with related experience.
• 5 years of related experience or equivalent.
• U.S. Citizenship for government contracting work.
• Strong knowledge of project management, budgeting and scheduling.
• Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and financial forecasting.
• Ability to analyze variances and prepare formal reports.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain time‑phased cost and resource forecasts.
• Create and monitor integrated critical path schedules for large projects.
• Provide financial analysis, variance, risk and profit/loss analyses.
• Prepare client and internal status reports on cost and schedule.
• Mentor junior staff and guide project controls practices.
