Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Sr Project Controls Professional for an on-site, multi-site role across the United States, including Spartanburg, SC; Baton Rouge, LA; and Corpus Christi, TX.

You will lead cost control, forecast, and reporting efforts with a dedicated project controls team, coordinating with construction teams and vendors to ensure accurate financial tracking throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in project controls with focus on cost management and field operations.
• Familiarity with construction contracts and pay application processes.
• Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel for on-site assignments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the setup, monitoring, and forecasting of project cost and progress metrics.
• Manage all cost control elements, including budget development/updates, scope change tracking, and expenditure/forecast reporting.
• Maintain accurate data in cost control systems and tools.
• Analyze revenue and cost performance and recommend corrective actions to project and construction managers.
• Review and approve contractor pay applications, ensuring compliance with contracts.
• Track and report construction progress using Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Coordinate with contractors to collect and upload weekly progress data into project systems.
