Job summary

Pattern Energy is seeking an experienced Senior Project Controller to lead controls, forecasting, and financial reporting for large-scale renewable energy capital programs. The role partners with project management, engineering, finance, and executives to ensure cost control and governance across the lifecycle.

Ideal candidates will have 5–10 years in project controls on major capital projects, a related degree, and strong skills in EVM, forecasting, and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Excellent analytical and cost control skills.
• Experience within renewable energy sectors is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills with attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of project controls principles, including cost control, forecasting, earned value management (EVM), and project performance reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee EPC, construction, supplier, and consulting agreements to ensure cost control and budget alignment.
• Lead cost reporting and maintain project controls systems for accurate performance tracking.
• Develop executive dashboards and reports, driving governance and data integrity.
• Support financing activities, including financial close, lender reporting, and cash flow tracking.
• Coordinate with diverse stakeholders to ensure financial compliance across multiple projects.
• Mentor project controls personnel and promote best practices across teams.
• Lead cost forecasting, budgeting, and contingency tracking throughout the project lifecycle.
• Analyze variances and provide recommendations to mitigate delivery risks.
