Primoris Renewable Energy is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to lead project controls, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis across solar and energy projects. The role involves mentoring junior controllers, developing processes, and ensuring accurate month-end closeouts.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in solar or renewable energy project controls, strong Excel, Primavera, and accounting system skills, and can travel up to 100%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Construction Management or related field
• 5–10 years of Project Control experience in Solar, Renewable Energy or Power Generation Construction
• Ability to travel up to 100%
• Experience with Ecosys and/or Viewpoint software
• Proficient in Excel, MS Office, Primavera and/or MS Project, Ecosys, Viewpoint, and Document Control programs
• Effective communication (oral & written) and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Perform and execute project controls functions.
• Understand project budget, schedule, and KPIs.
• Lead establishment of project phase codes and budgets in accounting system.
• Ensure schedule aligns with scope, execution plan, and revenue goals.
• Monitor project performance and provide recovery support when needed.
• Monitor cash position and drive AR/AP.
• Participate in risk assessment and mitigation.
• Train and mentor weekly, monthly, quarterly deliverables.
• Facilitate monthly Work in Progress Reviews.
• Review monthly cost to complete forecasts for accuracy.
• Monitor P&L status across projects.
• Audit project accounting practices (billing, AR, liens, POs, change orders).
• Collaborate with Directors to align goals across units.
• Facilitate closeout and subcontractor/vendor PO closeout.
