Job summary

SSOE is seeking a Project Controller III to partner with Project Managers, Architects, and Design Leaders across multiple U.S. locations.

You will help drive budgeting, forecasting, cost management, and performance reporting to improve profitability and client outcomes on a diverse portfolio of architectural projects. This role emphasizes data-driven decision making, dashboard development, and proactive risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7+ years in project controls, project accounting, or related disciplines.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and project performance reporting.
• Strong analytical, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Project Managers, Architects, and Practice Leadership to monitor financial performance, profitability, resource utilization, and delivery metrics.
• Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and performance analyses.
• Monitor project costs, schedules, earned revenue, backlog, and KPIs; identify risks and opportunities.
• Prepare and present project dashboards, forecasts, and reports for teams and leadership.
• Support budgeting, cost tracking structures, forecasting models, and reporting requirements.
• Evaluate scope changes and project impacts; suggest corrective actions.
• Assist monthly project reviews and provide recommendations to improve outcomes.
• Analyze schedules and resource plans to improve workload balancing and delivery.
• Contribute to development of project controls processes, standards, and reporting tools.
• Mentor junior project controls staff as needed.
• Support proposals, estimates, and client presentations with project controls input.
• Travel as required.
