Job summary

SSOE is seeking an experienced Project Controller III to support our Architecture Practice Group. You will partner with Project Managers, Architects, and Design Leaders to drive financial performance on a diverse portfolio of architectural projects.

You will develop budgets, forecasts, reports; monitor costs, schedules, and backlog; provide dashboards to leadership; mentor team members; and support proposals. Travel as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 7+ years of experience in project controls, project accounting, or related disciplines.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and project performance reporting.
• Strong analytical, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with project teams to monitor financial performance, profitability, resource utilization, and delivery metrics.
• Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and performance analyses for decision making.
• Monitor costs, schedules, earned revenue, backlog, and KPIs, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Prepare and present dashboards, forecasts, and reports for leadership.
• Support project setup, budgeting, and reporting requirements.
• Collaborate on scope changes and corrective actions to achieve project objectives.
• Assist monthly reviews and provide recommendations to improve execution and finance outcomes.
• Analyze schedules and resource plans to balance workload and delivery performance.
• Contribute to development of project controls processes and reporting standards.
• Mentor junior project controls team members.
• Support business development through project controls input on proposals and client presentations.
• Travel as required.
