Job summary

Steinberg Hart is seeking an experienced Architect in California to guide design teams through complex projects, manage consultants, and oversee technical development from design through construction close-out.

The role requires a strong track record in construction documents, coordination with authorities, and a commitment to sustainable practices. California license preferred and LEED AP is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in design and documentation of projects with at least five (5) years as a Project Architect.
• Substantial experience in construction document preparation and field observation.
• Experience dealing with governmental agencies, codes, and coordinating with consultants.

Responsibilities

• Guide design teams through design and technical development on multiple or large complex projects.
• Manage large number of consultants and provide direction to junior staff.
• Develop, review, and coordinate production drawings and construction documents.
• Ensure compliance with design intent, building systems, and coordination with specifications.
• Lead risk management reviews and maintain project documentation through all phases of construction.
