Job summary

Steinberg Hart in San Francisco seeks a Senior Project Manager to guide medium-sized project teams through the full lifecycle, ensuring scope, budget, schedule, and quality compliance. You will coordinate with the Principal-in-Charge, Project Designer, and consultants to deliver design solutions across all phases.

The role requires a decade of experience, California licensing preferred, and strong leadership, communication, and contractual oversight skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum ten (10) years of design and documentation of projects and project management experience.
• Architecture degree; graduate level preferred and strong business of architecture knowledge.
• California architecture license highly preferred; LEED AP preferred.
• Proficiency in Revit 2016 or later.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2016 or later.
• Proficiency in 3D Studio Max / Maxwell Render / Twinmotion / Enscape.
• Modeling: SketchUp or Rhino.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Experience developing project proposals and presentations.
• Experience managing prime and consultant contracts.
• Knowledge of sustainable practices and building codes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and time management.

Responsibilities

• Manage project teams of medium size.
• Work directly with Principal-in-Charge to manage backlog, staffing, and contracts.
• Collaborate with Project Designer to understand design intent.
• Ensure profitable completion of projects through all phases.
• Guide design management and schematic design aligned with schedule.
• Review contracts and ensure risk is addressed with legal counsel.
• Direct the effort to extract and document user and owner requirements.
• Lead project meetings, presentations, and client communications.
