Job summary

Steinberg Hart is seeking a licensed Architect to guide design teams on multiple projects, overseeing design development, production drawings, and construction documentation. The role involves risk management, coordination with consultants, and ensuring adherence to building codes and sustainability standards.

You will mentor junior staff, contribute to marketing efforts, and engage with government agencies for approvals and permits, while maintaining high standards of quality and client service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in design and documentation, with at least 5 years as a Project Architect.
• Substantial experience in construction document preparation and field observation, knowledge of building materials, specifications and construction techniques.
• Experience dealing with governmental agencies and building/zoning codes; coordination with consultants.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and time management skills.
• Thorough understanding of sustainable practices and industry standards; CA license preferred.
• LEED AP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Guide design teams through design and technical development on multiple projects, managing all technical documents through construction.
• Provide risk management review and ensure quality control on projects.
• Mentor staff via training, seminars, and participation in marketing meetings.
• Develop and review production drawings and construction documents for design intent and coordination.
• Respond to bid inquiries, meet with agencies for permits, and conduct on-site observations and close-out activities.
