Job summary

Ware Malcomb, a forward-thinking design firm based in Palo Alto, is seeking a Project Architect to lead design development, manage construction documents, and supervise drawing production while mentoring junior designers.

As a licensed architect with 10+ years in the field, you will ensure code compliance, coordinate contract documents with the project team and consultants, and drive high-quality delivery across office, industrial and technology projects.

Qualifications

• Licensed architect with deep knowledge of building codes.
• 10+ years of architecture experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage design development, construction documents, and specifications.
• Oversee production of drawing sets and mentor team members on design strategies.
• Coordinate with Project Manager to schedule and meet deadlines.
• Provide construction administration including site visits and shop drawing reviews.
• Perform project code searches and analyses across jurisdictions.
• Coordinate consultants and contract documents for permits and approvals.
• Review RFI’s and Submittals for consistency with drawings.
