Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Senior Strategic Program Lead to own end-to-end GFCO compliance programs, including SAM, EDD, and screening workflows.

You will partner with Compliance Tech, EAA, Ops, WFM, Analytics, and Legal to implement scalable programs across global jurisdictions. You will develop charters and roadmaps, translate regulatory obligations into actionable plans, and drive cross-functional delivery while ensuring readiness for launches and controlling costs

Qualifications

• 6+ years of program or project management experience, with 3+ years in financial crimes compliance or AML operations.
• Ability to independently drive large-scale, multi-stakeholder programs in a regulated environment.
• Deep understanding of AML/CFT operations including SAM, EDD, Screening, and SAR workflows.
• Experience navigating Known Problem / Unknown Solution environments with constraints.
• Strong strategy, storytelling, and ability to craft clear charters and roadmaps for Director+ audiences.
• Proven cost savings through automation with measurable outcomes.
• Proficiency with Asana, Jira, Smartsheet and data tools such as Looker, Snowflake, and Google Sheets.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management; capable of influencing at Director/VP levels.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Operations, Finance, Law, or related field.
• References required for L5+ roles.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end program strategy, planning, and execution for one or more GFCO areas.
• Develop charters, roadmaps, and governance frameworks across complex programs.
• Lead cross-functional delivery with Compliance Tech, EAA, Ops, WFM, Legal, Analytics.
• Translate regulatory obligations into actionable, prioritized program strategies.
• Support launch readiness for new products, jurisdictions, and entity expansions.
• Identify and resolve program risks; manage competing priorities with transparent trade-offs.
• Drive cost savings projections across automation initiatives with verified outcomes.
• Own intake discipline with formal requirements and testing plans.
• Draft and maintain strategy documents (P/PSs, RAPIDs, charters) for leadership.
• Manage feedback loops between automation outputs, QC, alerts, and investigations.
• Lead major incident/response efforts within GFCO when needed.
