Job summary

Blue Shield of California is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead the Pharmacy Finance Support initiatives, partnering with Pharmacy Strategy and Operations, Finance, GBS, and external vendors. You will guide internal meetings, assign priorities, monitor billable work requests, and ensure invoices conform to policy.

You will work closely with cross-functional leaders to review forecasts, reconcile resources, and track expenditures, delivering timely updates and actionable insights.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Requires at least 5 years of prior relevant experience.
• Health Plan and Pharmacy Operations experience preferred.
• Experience standing up new processes and training team members and stakeholders on the new process.
• Demonstrated leadership, project management, and executive level reporting experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a solution-oriented approach.
• Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint, and Project; SharePoint; and Lucid preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct small-scale, complex programs/projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Manage development and implementation of processes for projects involving cross-functional teams.
• Develop program plans, resource and contingency plans, and related artifacts.
• Validate financial forecasts and reconcile resources and expenditures.
• Define and track milestones within an integrated delivery plan.
• Review and track internal/external billable work impacting the Pharmacy portfolio.
• Lead weekly calls with Pharmacy leadership to review projects, funding, and decisions.
• Own and manage vendor credit tracking and credit requests.
• Provide backup for financial reconciliation for Pharmacy funding or invoices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
