Job summary

Blue Shield of California's Pharmacy team seeks a Sr. Manager, Program and Project Management to lead pharmacy accounts and sales support, reporting to the Director, Pharmacy Services, and to drive membership growth and client renewals.

This role leads the pharmacy accounts and sales support team, partners with employer groups, brokers and consultants, and helps shape programs for fully insured and self-funded membership. Hybrid work model with in-office days.

Qualifications

• Requires a college degree or equivalent experience.
• Requires 10 years of prior relevant experience, including 4 years of management experience.
• Requires prior experience in presenting pharmacy program value and observations to clients, brokers, and consultants.
• Requires prior experience in pharmacy benefit client contracting with understanding of contracting tactics and marketplace requirements.
• Excellent presentation, verbal, and written skills with the ability to understand and convey complex ideas to audience with diverse backgrounds is preferred.
• Strong business acumen with proven experience in strategy development and planning is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead pharmacy accounts and sales support team to support employer group account management and client renewals.
• Support new membership acquisition activities for fully insured and self-funded pharmacy membership.
• Contribute to development and execution of pharmacy products and initiative strategies.
