Job summary

Blue Shield of California is seeking a Senior Manager, Program and Project Management for the Pharmacy team. You will lead the accounts and sales support functions, driving member growth and retention for both fully insured and self-funded pharmacy membership.

Reporting to the Director, Pharmacy Services, you will guide contract strategy, client presentations, and initiative development while building high-performing teams and fostering continuous learning in a hybrid CA-based setting.

Qualifications

• Requires a college degree or equivalent experience.
• Requires 10 years of prior relevant experience, including 4 years of management experience.
• Requires prior experience in presenting pharmacy program value and observations to clients, brokers, and consultants.
• Requires prior experience in pharmacy benefit client contracting with understanding of pharmacy contracting tactics and marketplace requirements.
• Excellent presentation, verbal, and written skills with the ability to understand and convey complex ideas to audience with diverse backgrounds is preferred.
• Strong business acumen with proven experience in strategy development and planning is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the pharmacy accounts and sales support team to support employer group account management and client renewal.
• Support new membership acquisition activities for fully insured and self-funded pharmacy membership.
• Contribute to the development of pharmacy products and initiative strategies.
