Job summary

Blue Shield of California is seeking a Sr. Manager, Program and Project Management to lead the Pharmacy accounts and sales support team, supporting employer group account management and client renewal while driving new membership acquisition for fully insured and self-funded programs.

You will report to the Director, Pharmacy Services and shape strategic initiatives in a leadership-driven, learning-focused environment. Hybrid or remote options apply per location and policy.

Qualifications

• Requires a college degree or equivalent experience.
• Requires 10 years of prior relevant experience, including 4 years of management experience.
• Requires prior experience in presenting pharmacy program value and observations to clients, brokers, and consultants.
• Requires prior experience in pharmacy benefit client contracting with understanding of pharmacy contracting tactics and marketplace requirements.
• Excellent presentation, verbal, and written skills with the ability to understand and convey complex ideas to audience with diverse backgrounds is preferred.
• Strong business acumen with proven experience in strategy development and planning is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead pharmacy accounts and sales support teams to support employer group account management and client renewal.
• Support growth of pharmacy membership and new membership acquisition activities for fully insured and self-funded membership.
• Play a critical role in supporting pharmacy products and initiative strategies development.
