Job summary

Volunteers of America Los Angeles is seeking a seasoned program manager to lead social services initiatives and ensure grant compliance. You will oversee budgets, develop policies, and supervise a team across multiple sites, driving service quality for vulnerable populations.

Requires a Bachelor’s in Social Work (or related field), 5 years in program management, and 4 years of direct staff supervision. VOALA offers competitive benefits and a mission-driven work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work (or related discipline) or a combination of relevant education and experience (4 years).
• 5 years of experience in Social Services Program Management, Coordination or Supervision.
• Minimum of 4 years of direct staff management experience working with homeless or vulnerable populations.

Responsibilities

• Develop program policies, procedure plans, and associated communications documents.
• Proactively manage changes in project scope and devise contingency plans.
• Train, coach, and supervise program services staff and ensure proper recording of intake and case documentation.
• Coordinate services across multiple work sites and ensure program compliance with funder requirements.
• Plan workload, budgets, and allocate resources to meet program goals.
