Job summary

Nava Public Benefit Corp. is seeking a Program Manager to lead delivery and client engagement for strategic government contracts. You will oversee client trust, team health, staffing, and contract profitability while coordinating with finance and other stakeholders.

The role requires 10+ years of delivery outcomes and client relationship experience on large projects. A remote-friendly, east-coast-aligned work approach is supported, with travel to Richmond, VA as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with Custom Software or Cloud infrastructure programs/projects.
• Must work east coast hours and travel to Richmond, VA by direct flight, short connecting flight or train/car.
• Experience with state government agencies, government contracting, and audit trails.
• Experience leading and growing agile development teams and managing a large-scale project.
• Experience with agile frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe and CI/CD practices.
• Empathetic communicator with a service-oriented mindset toward the program team and clients.
• Adaptable problem solving across multiple organizations, processes, cultures, and technologies.
• Highly organized with a focus on sustainable, culture-conscious business.
• Strategic delivery planning and contract management over mid- to long-term.
• Iterative execution to drive rapid team progress.
• Maintain broad situational awareness beyond the immediate team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Exceed government partners' expectations by building trust and maintaining high situational awareness at the agency level.
• Detect risks and work with delivery team and stakeholders to resolve them.
• Engage clients to understand needs, align vision, and transparently communicate progress.
• Grow the program with opportunities, CLINs, and negotiations with subcontractors.
• Collaborate across projects to anticipate and solve cross-team delivery issues.
• Support delivery environments built on mutual trust with partners.
• Scale efforts by leading project managers and other delivery leads.
• Manage contracts and finances within your portfolio with finance team coordination.
• Set standards for delivery excellence and client service.
• Apply Nava policies at the program level and contribute to company objectives.
