Job summary

Housing Works is seeking a Senior Program Coordinator to oversee all service and operational aspects of the DHS Special Populations Hotel, collaborating with the Director of Social Services and the Managing Director of Hotel Programs.

The role includes supervising staff, coordinating team meetings, recruiting and onboarding, and representing the program at community meetings while enforcing conduct policies and advancing harm-reduction goals.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work occasional overtime and flexible scheduling.
• Bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred.
• Ability to work with the homeless migrant population.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with discretion and independent judgment.
• Ability to build trusting relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Team player who can work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent communication, verbal and written skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and guidance to Operations Manager, Case Manager Supervisor and Program Assistant.
• Support Director of Social Services in achieving program goals; lead meetings in Director's absence; oversee key projects.
• Coordinate regular team meetings with Operations staff.
• Assist with recruitment and onboarding of staff; ensure consistent training.
• Represent the program at community meetings as needed.
• Identify problems and friction points; implement solutions to improve efficiency.
• Review incidents and administer program investigations; update policies and procedures.
• Enforce the Residential Code of Conduct/House Rules and participate in advocacy efforts.
