Job summary

The People Concern seeks a Director of the Housing Supportive Services Program (HSSP) to lead collaboration with the Senior Director and to monitor DMH contracted HSSP activities. The role focuses on contract goals, billing accuracy, and outcomes, ensuring timely deliverables and maximum contract value.

The director will supervise staff, coordinate clinical services with partners, and support development of new housing projects within HSSP while maintaining high standards of care and compliance

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Welfare, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related field.
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience in mental health and/or substance use disorder services.
• Strong working knowledge of Medi-Cal documentation and requirements.
• Outstanding clinical review skills.
• Experience in supervision, training, project management and team-building.
• Ability to maintain sensitivity, tact and responsiveness with staff and clients.

Responsibilities

• Attend meetings, respond to email, build relationships with DMH and partner organizations.
• Represent agency interests at DMH meetings and county-wide DMH HSSP meetings.
• Ensure productivity goals and 65% direct service time across the program.
• Coordinate clinical services and referrals with external agencies and funders.
• Support development of new Housing sites and scattered sites under HSSP.
• Oversee functioning of HSSP services across sites.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Billing to ensure contract compliance.
• Provide supervision and performance evaluations for assigned staff.
• Assist in recruitment, training, supervision, and evaluation of staff.
• Ensure staff orientation, training, and audit readiness for clinical contracts.
