Housing Works Inc. is seeking a Program Coordinator for the Lexington Avenue Short-Term Emergency Housing program in New York.

This role provides programmatic and clinical leadership, ensures regulatory compliance, supervises case management staff, and maintains resident-centered services aligned with funder requirements. The position balances clinical oversight, staff supervision, quality assurance, and operational coordination to advance housing stability and service excellence within Housing

Qualifications

• LMSW or LMHC is required; LCSW preferred.
• Background working with homelessness strongly preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to guide staff.
• Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.
• Experience reviewing assessments and service plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of all programmatic and clinical operations to ensure compliance with funder regulations and best practices.
• Supervise Housing Case Managers and related program staff.
• Ensure 30-day review and update of assessments and service plans.
• Review rent reports and address missed payments with timely follow-up.
• Lead crisis intervention and resident support to promote housing stability.
• Represent the program at interdisciplinary meetings and treatment planning sessions.
• Oversee data collection and provide high-quality reporting across teams.
• Maintain occupancy at or above 95% and coordinate unit turnover.
• Support recruitment, interviewing, and staff training as needed.
• Coach staff in harm reduction, trauma-informed care, and motivational interviewing.
• Conduct internal audits of resident charts for accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure timely data entry into case management systems.
