Markel Group, a Fortune 500 insurer, is seeking a skilled Professional Liability Claims Specialist in the United States. You will investigate, negotiate and settle complex claims, from coverage enquiry through liability assessment, with emphasis on timely, cost-efficient resolutions.

You will manage nationwide litigation, oversee defense counsel, and collaborate with underwriting while guiding junior team members. JD preferred; 3+ years of experience required; travel ~10% is expected.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years of professional liability claims or litigation experience preferred.
• JD or college degree required; JD preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to analyze and summarize complex issues.
• Travel required approximately 10%.

• Analyze coverage, draft routine and complex coverage correspondence; communicate positions.
• Manage nationwide litigation; oversee defense counsel and expenditures.
• Communicate developments with underwriting and other stakeholders.
• Mentor and train claims examiners; contribute to unit initiatives.
