Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment is recruiting a Senior Production Operations Engineer to own production support for cloud services in AWS and container environments. You will drive readiness, build automation, improve observability and lead incident response across multiple time zones.

The role emphasizes automation, AI-assisted tooling and cross-functional collaboration to enhance reliability and performance for PlayStation services.

Qualifications

• BS degree in CS, Software Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years operating and supporting production services at scale.
• 3+ years AWS Cloud experience deploying Java/API services.
• Hands-on incident management including on-call and RCA.
• Experience with payment, commerce or fintech systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own operations and production support for internal and public services in AWS and containers.
• Drive production readiness for new services, including monitoring, runbooks and rollback planning.
• Build scripts and workflows to reduce toil and improve incident response.
• Improve observability with dashboards, alerts and incident workflows.
• Support incident management using Slack, JIRA, ServiceNow and related tools.
• Collaborate with SRE, data services and product teams to improve reliability.
• Drive cost optimization and scaling in AWS, Kubernetes and cloud patterns.
• Utilize AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate development and analysis.
• Provide rotational on-call and document post-incident reviews with actions.
