Job summary

You will ensure GMP compliance, manage staffing, and lead initiatives to improve line performance while coordinating with cross-functional teams and union relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, food science or manufacturing related discipline is required.
• 1-2 years direct supervisory experience, ideally in a union environment.
• Lean manufacturing practices should be proven and effective.
• Strong computer literacy in MS Office and integrated systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety and quality initiatives with the Safety Manager.
• Train staff in safety procedures and accident prevention.
• Enforce GMP rules and oversee production processes.
• Drive continuous improvement and review quality issues with action steps.
• Coach and manage performance of employees and peers.
• Ensure sanitation, housekeeping and HACCP compliance.
• Maintain quality programs and perform line audits.
• Analyze issues and implement root-cause based improvements.
• Support packaging and product trials and investment requests.
• Collaborate with HR on labor issues within the union framework.
