Job summary

Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Production Engineer located in Knoxville, TN. The Senior Production Engineer serves as a vital resource for Operations by applying technical skills to optimize plant operations, resolve plant problems, and enable safe and efficient production of low cost, quality products.

This role requires broadened conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures to coordinate the production units to meet business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• US work authorization; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Translate Business production goals into plant production goals.
• Coordinate with Integrated Supply Chain for production planning, shipping, and materials.
• Determine shutdown timing with Supply Chain, Turnaround, Operations, and Maintenance.
• Coach plant personnel on KPI tracking and performance records.
• Work with operations teams to leverage problem-solving skills and technical expertise.
• Apply MET and process automation to optimize plant performance.
• Troubleshoot with SMEs to improve operating discipline.
• Diagnose root causes of asset utilization losses.
• Review logbooks and alarm histories daily to stay informed.
