Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced Mechanical/Aerospace Engineer to lead design, development, and testing of spaceflight systems. You will work on structural and mechanical subsystems with emphasis on integration, fabrication, and test, ensuring safety and reliability for spaceflight programs.

The role requires strong 3D modeling, GD&T, and experience with aerospace structures. Collaborative problem solving and dedication to quality are essential in a mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
• 5+ years of recent experience designing aerospace or equivalent mechanical system elements
• Strong mechanical design and integration skills using 3D modeling tools
• Experience with GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
• Knowledge of fabrication, integration processes, and quality control relative to tubes/piping and machined components
• Ability to work independently on rapid development programs

Responsibilities

• Applies engineering techniques to design, install, modify, analyze, repair structural and mechanical systems hardware
• Support integration activities
• Release and support engineering artifacts across product life cycle
• Research, analyze, and evaluate design proposals and data for feasibility and maintenance requirements
• Investigate equipment failures and diagnose issues to support maintenance
