Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Mechanical Systems Engineer III to design, analyze, and optimize space hardware, balancing mass and performance across interfaces. You will translate system requirements into mechanical designs and support production and integration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include structural analysis, CAD development, and trade studies to drive architecture decisions while ensuring compliance with aerospace standards and security requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 3+ years in mechanical engineering with systems engineering exposure.
• Experience with CAD software and basic structural analysis.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering techniques to design, modify, analyze, and optimize mechanical systems for space.
• Support study-level design efforts and mission-architecture development.
• Develop mechanical specifications for aerospace products and operations.
• Contribute to payload accommodation solutions balancing mass, volume, and performance.
• Perform basic structural analyses to validate concepts and drive improvements.
• Create CAD plans and specifications to support production and integration.
