Job summary

Qualifications

• Proven leadership with 5+ years in product management and delivering results.
• Autonomy to drive massive impact and accountability across the messaging portfolio.
• Passion for user research and speaking with users to inform decisions.
• Experience with lifecycle or notification messaging at consumer scale and balancing engagement with trust.
• Strong written and verbal communication across engineering, data science, design, and GTM teams.
• Data-driven, SQL-enabled, and comfortable performing AB experiments and interpreting results.
• Experience with AI/ML features in ranking, relevance, or recommendations.
• Marketplace work with cross-side impact on outcomes and incentives.
• Knowledge of deliverability, sender reputation, and compliance regimes.

Responsibilities

• Own the messaging product for ZipRecruiter’s core channel across email, push, and lifecycle events.
• Define which messages exist, when they are sent, and how to balance volume with trust and retention.
• Collaborate with data science and ML teams to drive ranking and relevance in sends.
• Coordinate with employer-side product teams to optimize outcomes for employers.
• Lead experiments, analyze results, and translate insights into long-term business health.
• Protect the channel by focusing on deliverability, compliance, and opt‑in/opt‑out systems.
