Job summary

ZipRecruiter is seeking a product leader to own the Job Seeker Messaging channel in a hybrid/remote US environment. You will set portfolio KPIs, decide message types and frequencies, and balance volume with trust and long-term retention.

You’ll work daily with data science and ML teams to optimize deliverability, compliance, and impact, partnering with engineering and marketplace teams to move supply and demand and maximize employer outcomes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of proven success in product management.
• Data-driven; fluent in SQL; experienced with AB testing.
• Owned email, push, or lifecycle messaging at consumer scale.
• AI/ML fluency; shipped features powered by models.
• Customer-obsessed; conducts user research.
• Strong communication across engineering, data science, design, GTM.
• Self-motivated with autonomy to drive impact.

Responsibilities

• Own the Job Seeker Messaging channel end-to-end.
• Define portfolio KPIs and determine message types and cadence.
• Lead experiments and analyze results for long-term health.
• Collaborate with engineering, ML, and marketplace teams to optimize outcomes.
• Protect deliverability, sender reputation, and compliance.
• Represent the voice of the job seeker in off-platform touchpoints.
• Drive growth and retention through effective messaging strategies.
