Job summary

ZipRecruiter is seeking a product leader to own the messaging channel across the marketplace. You will decide which message types exist, when they’re sent, and how to balance volume with job seeker trust.

You will work daily with data science and ML teams to align messaging with ranking models and employer outcomes. You will partner with engineering, design, and go-to-market teams to drive long-term business health, while protecting the channel from deliverability and compliance risks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven success in product management.
• Data-obsessed problem solver with SQL and A/B experimentation.
• Owned email, push, or lifecycle messaging products at consumer scale.
• Understanding of ML to solve user problems with ranking/relevance models.
• Passion for speaking with users and conducting user research.
• Strong written and oral communication across teams.
• Highly self-motivated and autonomous.

Responsibilities

• Own the messaging product for the channel from KPI setting to performance detail.
• Lead decisions on which messages exist, when they are sent, and how many.
• Collaborate with data science, ML, engineering, design, and go-to-market teams.
• Ensure deliverability, sender reputation, and compliance across the channel.
