Job summary

ZipRecruiter is seeking a Product leader to own the job seeker messaging portfolio across channels, balancing volume, trust, and revenue while aligning with ranking and match models. You will lead cross-functional teams to optimize outcomes for job seekers and employers.

You will work with data science, engineering, and go-to-market partners in a hybrid environment, shaping experiments, measurement, and deliverability. A strong customer-obsessed mindset is essential for success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven success in product management with a track record of delivering results.
• Data-driven problem solver who analyzes the why behind the numbers and is fluent in A/B experimentation.
• Experience owning email, push, or lifecycle messaging products at consumer scale.
• Understanding of applying AI/ML to ranking, relevance, or recommendations.
• Passion for speaking with users and conducting user research.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across engineering, data science, design, and GTM roles.
• Highly motivated and able to drive impact autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Own the job seeker messaging portfolio, setting KPI targets and owning message performance.
• Decide which messages to send, when, and how many, and through which channels.
• Monitor metrics like applications delivered, activation/retention, unsubscribes, and revenue from email placements.
• Design experiments and interpret results to inform long-term health rather than short-term gains.
• Collaborate with engineering, data science, and marketplace teams to influence ranking and match quality.
• Protect the channel through deliverability, sender reputation, and compliance controls.
• Advocate for job seekers by conducting user research and translating insights into strategy.
