Job summary

ZipRecruiter is seeking a Product Manager to own the job seeker messaging channel, shaping which messages exist and when they are sent. You will balance volume, trust, and retention while collaborating with data science, ML, engineering, and marketing teams to drive employer outcomes.

You will manage the channel's deliverability, compliance, and budget considerations, while advocating for the job seeker perspective through research and storytelling. This is a hybrid role with a US focus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven success in product management.
• Data-obsessed problem solver comfortable in SQL and fluent in A/B experimentation.
• Owned email, push, or lifecycle messaging products at consumer scale.
• Understands how to leverage AI/ML for ranking, relevance, or recommendations.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own the messaging product for the job seeker channel from portfolio KPI setting to individual message performance.
• Decide which message types to send, when, and how many, across channels.
• Collaborate with engineering, data science, and ranking/match teams to optimize outcomes.
• Protect deliverability, sender reputation, and compliance for the messaging channel.
