Job summary

Pearson is seeking a senior product manager/strategist to lead content standards and workflows, sitting with content business units to drive taxonomy, metadata, and AI-enabled production. You will guide multi-disciplinary teams, redesign workflows, and develop training to uplift the content practice across Pearson’s education platforms.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of product management experience in content, publishing, or content platform domains.
• Ownership of content standards work: taxonomy and metadata design, quality frameworks.
• Experience with authoring, production, and delivery platforms (CMS, DAM, LCMS).
• Built and shipped substantive content systems work with current AI tooling.
• Experience in empowered product team models where ownership is an outcome.
• Track record in continuous discovery and translating it into outcomes for content.
• Coaching PMs and leaders without alienating them.
• Strong written and verbal communication for technical and business audiences.

Responsibilities

• Embed content standards spine inside real business unit work with global data standards.
• Redesign and shorten production workflows, removing handoffs and rework.
• Partner with content leaders across Pearson through strategy, planning, and craft.
• Guide teams to high-quality plans and content strategy traceable to learner jobs.
• Design and deliver training anchored in Pearson’s real content problems.
• Build AI fluency across the content talent base in a practical way.
• Identify manual content tasks worth automating and prototype automation.
• Bring telemetry and human-in-the-loop design to AI-assisted content generation.
