Job summary

Pearson in the United States seeks a senior product manager/strategist to drive content excellence. You will guide taxonomy design, metadata standards, and AI‑assisted workflows, sitting with content business units to rebuild production processes.

You’ll lead cross‑functional teams, shape roadmaps, and mentor other PMs, aiming for concrete improvements in quality, speed, and learner outcomes across Pearson’s content platforms.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years in product management, concentrated in content, publishing, or content platforms.
• Hands-on ownership of content standards work: taxonomy and metadata design, quality frameworks, structured content, and measurement.
• Experience with authoring, production, and delivery platforms (CMS, DAM, LCMS, XML-based systems) including migrations.
• Built and shipped substantive content systems as owning PM, including with AI tooling.
• Experience in empowered product team models with outcome-focused planning like roadmaps and QBRs.
• Track record in rigorous continuous discovery translating insights into content outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Implement the standards spine inside real business unit work and ensure metadata accuracy.
• Redesign and shorten production workflows, removing handoffs and rework.
• Partner with content leaders through strategy, planning, and craft.
• Guide teams to high-quality plans and content strategy traceable to learner outcomes.
• Build AI fluency across the content talent base and evaluate AI-assisted content generation.
