Job summary

Pearson is seeking a senior product manager/strategist to lead hands-on work on content standards, taxonomy, and metadata, while guiding senior content PMs and teams. You will redesign workflows, build AI-enabled content solutions, and shape the content taxonomy and strategy across business units.

You will partner with content leaders to craft strategic roadmaps, measure impact on learner outcomes, and mentor PMs across levels.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of product management experience in content, publishing, or content platform domains.
• Hands-on ownership of content standards work: taxonomy and metadata design, quality frameworks.
• Experience with authoring, production, and delivery platforms (CMS, DAM, LCMS).
• Built and shipped substantive content systems as owning PM, including AI tooling.
• Experience in SVPG-style empowered product teams with outcomes focus.
• Strong continuous discovery and outcomes translation for content.
• Experience redesigning production workflows and proving productivity gains.
• Coaching PMs/leaders sustainably, with clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Implement standards spine inside real business unit work and ensure metadata accuracy.
• Redesign and shorten production workflows, removing handoffs.
• Partner with Pearson content leaders on strategy, planning, and craft.
• Guide teams to high-quality plans and artifacts, from MRDs to PRDs.
• Design and deliver training anchored in real content problems.
• Contribute to content job family and community of practice.
• Build AI fluency across content talent with practical applications.
• Identify and prototype automation for manual tasks with measurable value.
• Bring telemetry and human-in-the-loop design to AI-assisted generation.
• Maintain clear stance on where AI helps or not.
