Job summary

PEMCO is seeking a Senior Product Analyst to conduct complex quantitative analysis of property & casualty products, improving performance and supporting PEMCO’s initiatives. You will plan large projects, document workflows, and partner with Product Managers and Actuarial teams.

You’ll build dashboards and tools to track product success, identify data enhancements, and prepare rate filings. This role emphasizes data-driven decision making, cross-team collaboration, and adherence to PEMCO's values.

Qualifications

• Requires a BA/BS or equivalent in economics, business, IT, mathematics, or a quantitative field.
• Graduate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 3 years of property and casualty insurance industry experience required.
• 6+ years in analytical roles with pricing insurance products and handling large data from multiple sources.
• Strong problem-solving, presentation, and communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Proficiency in SQL, SQL Server, and data visualization required.
• Ability to build scalable data models and write complex SQL queries.
• Independent, self-motivated, and able to work with limited direction.
• Analytical, data-driven, and capable of translating data into actionable insights.
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations; strong communication in technical and non-technical language.
• Preference for proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, and WTW Radar.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage large-scale, complex projects with support.
• Document complex system workflows and business processes.
• Develop analytical strategies in partnership with Product Managers and Actuarial teams.
• Create queries, dashboards, and tools to analyze product success and data strategy.
• Compile materials for rate filings and communicate analysis to stakeholders.
• Build tools and processes to create efficiencies in metrics analysis.
• Assist less experienced analysts as needed.
• Contribute to product and pricing reviews with pricing recommendations.
• Perform complex analysis to identify trends and propose improvements.
• Adhere to PEMCO policies and values; support PEMCO Brand.
