Job summary

Whop Inc. is seeking a Senior Product Counsel topartner with product, engineering, payments, and risk teams.

You will advise on payments, payouts, and marketplace products, focusing on money transmission licensing, fraud programs, and consumer protection. You will work from the earliest development stages to ensure regulatory requirements are addressed, with external counsel engaged selectively for jurisdiction-specific matters.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of legal experience advising on payments, fintech or financial services products.
• JD and admission to the New York or California bar.
• Working knowledge of U.S. payments regulation, including money transmission, BSA/AML, sanctions, card network rules.

Responsibilities

• Advice on payments, payouts and marketplace products with focus on regulation and consumer protection.
• Guide product and engineering teams on regulatory requirements during development.
• Coordinate with external counsel for specialist questions as needed.
• Own user-facing terms and policies to ensure compliance across platforms.
• Advise on privacy, data and AI considerations in product design and commitments.
