Job summary

Whatnot is seeking a Senior Product Counsel to lead legal support for its payments and financial services initiatives. The successful candidate will advise on the design and operation of innovative payment systems, manage relationships with financial partners, and navigate complex regulatory frameworks including money transmission, AML/BSA, and consumer protection.

This role involves drafting complex commercial agreements and supporting the expansion of payment products into new jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree required and active U.S. bar membership.
• 9+ years of legal experience with at least 3 years in payments/fintech.
• Experience advising on payments, fintech or financial services matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead legal support for payments and financial services initiatives.
• Advise on design and operation of innovative payment systems.
